Dinner With Baby George On A Hot Summer Night...Who's Baby George?

Dinner with Baby George! Some of you might ask who is Baby George? Why is the pastor's wife having dinner with another man? There is a perfect explanation as to why I love dinner with Baby George. Baby George is a small version of the George Foreman Grill. It is perfect on any day and especially on those hot summer days where you just don't want to turn on the oven and make dinner. One of our favorite dinners is simple and tasty. Here is how I prepare a dinner that requires little effort and keeps the temperature in the kitchen down. If you love chicken you will probably enjoy this.

Take a chicken breast or whatever kind of chicken you enjoy. Wash it up and add your favorite seasoning. I only use a little poultry seasoning, garlic and pepper. Place it in the basket of the George Foreman, set the timer and walk away. For chicken breast it takes usually 40 To 45 minutes, depending on the size of the meat. You will have a wonderful main dish when that timer rings. The George Foreman is good for any kind of meat you would like to roast.

For a side dish we love to cook steamed rice. Again there is little effort and no stirring, flipping or babysitting. I simply wash the rice, boil it and bring it down to steam for twenty minutes. If you want to spice it up add anything you want. I use just a little butter and salt. My husband loves the soy sauce and my son enjoys garlic salt and hot sauce. YUK! To each his own I guess.

Finally for the vegetable portion to make a well balanced meal, salad! Green salad and add your favorite dressing. It takes me about three minutes to throw some tomatoes, cucumbers, sunflower seeds and a little bit of shredded cheese. The salad clenches the meal off. If anyone decides to make a chicken salad with what is on the table for dinner it also works and is still delicious.

Serve your favorite beverage, give thanks to the Lord and then enjoy a great meal with your family. It is even good if you are having a quiet dinner by yourself.
