The problem is me with the Senate banking commission.
As the economy is doing the freefall, I know that I have a greater source to tap into no matter what is going on in the Senate. No, I am not that powerful, but I have a faith and attitude that I know points right to me.
How do I figure? Well, I am responsible for how I look at things. I have empathy for what is happening in our country. I also understand with every election there is chaos and ultimately, this too shall pass. Nonetheless, it is up to me on how I accept things or not.
With all the hype happening with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and also the candidates John McCain, Sarah Palin, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, it would seem that most people want to blame congress for the problems we are facing in America. Yes, we are in a recession but are we handling it?
I can understand that many Americans are livid because we all know that it will affect our pocket books. I can honestly say that I am not thrilled about having to pay for the mistakes of our government and faulty programs.
However, I am not angry because I am sure that this is nothing new and it won't be the last time that this kind of thing will happen. I am at acceptance though. It is not worth my well being to be upset over the inevitable. I am responsible on how I feel about what is going on around me and in my life.
What do I do to get to this place? I turn to the word of God. Jesus tells us, "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) As believers, we need to understand, that God uses tribulation to help us grow, trust Him and grow closer to Him.
The bottom line for me is my faith, acceptance and attitude. How is yours?

hi Michelle, this was a good article. acceptance is unfortunate to have to settle for, instead of excitement that maybe now our country will be run well. and i, too, believe there are lessons only certain situations are needed to remind us of what we are doing to our World, and being given a chance to learn, grow, and change, is our only hope. thanks for sharing, best regards, sueThank you Sue,I know that I am not that powerful to change anything but me and what I do, therefore it does my well being good to accept, whether I like it or not.Hugs and blessings,
