With the United States in a state of fear of the economic security, I can't help but to turn to a greater source of peace. I refuse to worry about the outcome of what is to come. I refuse to make my god money.
You may think that I have lost my marbles and maybe I have, but that is okay. All my needs are taken care of by the Creator. I am not well off financially, but I am rich in a way that can only be explained by my faith.
While I am not a teacher or rocket scientist, my trust in God has brought me farther than I could even imagine.
Going back to the state of the nation, these Psalms seem to sum it up in a Biblical sense.
Psalm 15:3-5 (NIV)
3 and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
4 who despises a vile man
but honors those who fear the LORD,
who keeps his oath
even when it hurts,
5 who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken.
Here on earth we will have to pay the consequences for our mistakes and yes pay for others also. When we get to heaven, we will receive the ultimate prize. It might do us good to remember, it's only the world and temporary.
Remember that when we pass from this place, we can't take our stocks, money, belongings or anything material with us. All we take is our souls.

hi michelle, how true what you say is. it helps to have enough money to exist, but it doesn't go along with us into the ground. and if some request such, it doesn't pass on to the next life. thanks for sharing,my best, sueThanks Sue,It reminds me of a joke where the husband insisted his wife bury him with all of his money. So she did! She wrote him a check, and said, "lets see him cash that!"Hugs and love,
