A Friend Lost And Three Lives Saved

Being who I am today, all I have to do is step outside and I seem to be a sudden counselor. It would seem that people don't understand that I am no different than the rest of them. I am only at a different stage in my life. Good thing I have learned to listen more and love to help when possible.
The day before yesterday hit close to home when my neighbor got into a car accident, totaled their truck, broke her arm and scraped her head. Why? Drinking and driving. Just moments prior, she was with a girlfriend and her children. Praise God that her girlfriend told her to pull over and that her driving was too crazy. They all got out before the accident. Afterwards, the police were next door looking for her. She ran. But for the Grace of God, there go I! I was blessed not to be involved in a DUI when I was living that lifestyle.
The part that brought me joy was when she came to talk to me about going to meetings and that she had a problem. She had lost a friendship but was grateful that lives were saved. My response was anytime you want to go tell me and I will take you. What she doesn't know is that anytime I go, I will be inviting her to come with. I am even going to see if she will go to church with me today.
I wrote a couple of days ago about the disease of alcoholism and addiction. It is a real problem and there are many in denial about such. I know because I was one of them.
For those who believe there is help, would you please pray for my neighbor's recovery and that I can be of maximum service to God and her.
Thank you for all your prayers.

I believe God has put you in this woman's path for a reason and hope that she can take advantage of it before it is too late. Being in service to the right person at the right time is priceless! God bless you for all you do to help others.Mark
