I Have Some Bad News For You...

It has been one month since I went to the cardiologist and found out that I had a heart attack. Since then there has been a myriad of tests. The anxiety and worry ran higher this last month than usual. You get the picture.

Yesterday was the day we were waiting for, or dreading. I am not quite sure which. As a Christian, I was barely holding on to the, "Do not worry" suggestion that is mentioned in the Bible 365 times. Yes, that is once for each day of the year, but this particular month I needed a reminder probably ten times a day.

After what seemed to be the longest night of the month, restlessness and worry, Mark and I suited and showed up to the long awaited appointment.

Weighing in at, well never mind, blood pressure and heart rate good we sat in the room waiting for the cardiologist. Finally, knock, knock and in he comes.

Excellent cardiologist he is. He greets both Mark and I before he sits down and is very thorough about giving us all the results. He had a smile the whole time.

Holding our breath and trying to be comfortable, we listened. We were informed that my blood flow was good, heart healthy despite the heart attack and that even my kidneys looked good. Yes, he is a cardiologist yet in one of the tests, he got a good look at my kidneys. I am sure that by now Mark and I were breathing normal and we were both elated by this news. We couldn't stop saying, "Praise Jesus"!

Then those dreaded words came, "I have some bad news for you". We both looked at him with confusion and I asked "what is it?"

"I won't be able to see you anymore, my wife's company is relocating in Kansas City and my wife and children are already there. I am going to join them." I could definitely understand this. At this point he recommended another cardiologist.

Once again, Mark and I were good with this news and smiling.

Here's the kicker and I wish every doctor could be so professional yet personable like this gentleman was. As prior mentioned, he was thorough and professional with a good bedside manner. Yet, we had only seen this cardiologist two times and he approached us like we were old time friends. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining in any way. We could all probably learn something good from this man.

I wanted to thank all of my friends and family for their support and prayers. I know that it was all Jesus who performed these miracles and I don't think Mark and I have stopped smiling. We slept great last night and as a matter of fact, I slept like a rock and didn't hear a thing.

Should you have reservations about believing that God is a God of miracles, just try reflecting back on something good that has happened with no scientific explanation. You might even try asking for the first time and establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ. Then see what happens as you will be amazed.

Michelle,

Thought I'd post here rather than the email like last communication. I am so glad to hear everything is fine. I too know that God is in the details. I was going to doctor after doctor who would only patch me up regarding my breathing and heart problems. As a matter of fact, over the summer my breathing was so limited, one night my wife was rushing me to the emergency room and I was telling her she'll need to take care of the kids and that I was especially sorry I wouldn't be around to raise Mikie, our 4-yr-old. It was that bad. They treated my lungs and I was OK for the moment, but doctors still couldn't make a permanent fix.

But then a good friend of the church told us about Kangan water. And it's funny that last night I was over there telling this story to the husband of the woman who told my wife "You need to get the water for Jeffrey." I told him my emergency room visit story and the other visits I had to make related to heart palpitations, SVT, and almost suffocating to death because of scared lungs from my cancer surgery and low grade asthma. Last night I was praising the water as in "Praise Jesus!" in my best baptist revivalist voice ;o) But since I've been drinking the water nary a problem. In months I haven't had a single incident.

So yes, I know God's hand was there to lead me to my solution. God bless and stay well. You're in our prayers. Peace!

Thank you Jeff,

I am very appreciative of all your prayers. I too remember one instance when my eye exploded blood vessels and I was afraid that I wouldn't physically see my children grow up. At that time the twins were five and my youngest was about five months old. PTL that I had a good eye surgeon that fixed my eyes and not just patched them. However, my mom did have to switch doctors when I was eight, because the prior onee never thought of checking me for diabetes.

I am also a firm believer in water. I will have to try the Kangan when I can afford so.

Love, hugs and blessings to you and your family,

Whew, had me going there for a time! My RN friend who moved here recently worked at Stockton Cardiology and they are great and long ago I used to know Donna, their nurse practitioner - can't go wrong there if you have to pick a new doc! Love you! Marijo

Hi Marijo!

Isn't that what are articles are supposed to do? Draw attention...hehe. That is not really why I post articles. It is because I hope to introduce more to Jesus in anyway. It is funny, because at first I was going to go to Stockton Cardiology but then wound up at Pacific Heart and Vascular. They are good there too. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

I rejoice with you, Michelle. That was a miracle indeed. And the icing on your cake was that very "professional" AND "personable" doctor. Thanks for sharing your testimony here. ~mogama~
